The island of Hvar has earned the nickname "Sunny Hvar" for its reliable sunshine. The season on Hvar is long, and perhaps it's best to visit at the end of summer when the sun is warm but comfortable, and the sea is at the perfect temperature.

A hallmark of Hvar is its lavender. In early July, when the lavender blooms, the entire island turns purple. If you're on a road trip, we highly recommend a tour around the island. The rolling lavender fields, winding roads, and hidden coves will add a special touch to your vacation. The island is also known for its delicious wines. Unfortunately, they are produced in such small quantities that most never leave the island. So, take the opportunity to enjoy them while you're on holiday on Hvar.

Hvar Town The main town, conveniently named the same as the island, is a true gem and the most popular spot on the island. Vacation activities revolve around the large square and promenade, where some of Europe’s most luxurious yachts are often on display. In the alleyways of the old town, you'll find many charming spots with delightful restaurants, trendy bars, and small shops. Hvar boasts one of Europe’s oldest theaters (which still hosts performances regularly), some of the best nightlife in the Dalmatian islands, and great swimming spots on the small islands in the surrounding archipelago. Whether you prefer comfortable beach clubs or a secluded rocky spot for yourself, Hvar offers both. On Hvar, you can truly tailor your vacation to suit your preferences.

Stari Grad is the island's oldest town. It features renaissance palaces, narrow streets, and vibrant street life—just as it was in the past. In the charming Jelsa, the pace is more relaxed, but there are plenty of restaurants and cafés, as well as excellent swimming spots.
